Hi there. Notice anything different? That's right. Jack got his first haircut! Man, what a big boy he is now. He looks so cute. We decided to go to a special kids hair salon for his first haircut because I didn't think he'd sit still for very long and I thought the professionals could handle him. I was right. They were used to it and handled his squirmy-ness just fine.
The nice lady threw a hair apron on him and I tried to distract him with a book while she wet his hair.
As the haircut took shape, I saw just how adorable he looked. And it aged him like a whole year!
Once the stylist was done, she indulged the silly new parents and daddy with a camera by doing some funny hairstyles.
When it was all done they gave us a cute little certificate to commemorate his first haircut with a Polaroid pic and a lock of hair.
When we got home I was pretty pleased. He is one handsome dude.
Oh my goodness, such a big boy! So cute. What a great salon too.

He looks so handsome! You're right - haircuts really do make the little guys look that much more grown up, but it's sweet how bright they look, too. And I love the fact that there are places that cater to the fact that these are fun milestones to celebrate and record.
