Our first family vacation: Part 2

Okay, so I lied. I said our vacation recap would be two parts but I think I need three parts. Only because today I have to dedicate a whole post to Jack and Sophia. Cousins who are 2 months apart in age and who met for the first time last week. It was a meeting long in the making as we have been skyping since Jack was born with Sophia and her parents in Berlin, Germany.

Sophia was absolutely adorable and so SO energetic. She was a babbling, smiling machine who couldn't stop bouncing and rolling. I think Jack referred to her as "that crazy girl"...or at least that's what I thought his expression said as he just sat back in silence and observed her. There were face-offs on a blanket...

And defiant looks while the adults ate dinner...

Their personalities were so different that it was fascinating to see. People asked me if they "played" together and I think the closest they came was this interaction on the floor. Of course, as usual, it wasn't quite fair to Jack because he is still immobile and, as you can see, Sophia is not. (I apologize for all the pics but, come on, they are pretty funny.)

Well, this is going okay so far...

Hey Sophia, that's my ear. But that's okay, it feels pretty funny...

Whoa, whacha doing now?

Sophia, I think you've got my shirt. I understand it's a cool shirt but still...

Okay, now you're squeezing my ear kind of hard...

But that's okay because you're pretty cool...

Hey, hold on! Only I can put my fingers in my mouth...

Ummm, you're kind of rolling on me, crazy girl...

Yeah, I'm done. Mom, pick me up and rescue me right now please.

  3. So adorable! I love the picture of the face off between the cousins. It's going to be great when they're old enough to actually play together.
